after owning the new one I’ll say if you don’t readily have access to a drop cord it’s the best fan hands down but if you’re always around a drop cord or a place to plug one in go with a plug in I love it because it makes working in attics much less miserable

I have this fan and use a 6.0 battery and if I leave it half way it will last 12 hours

here is where I think this fan shines, it's pretty loud on high... perfect for white noise for sleeping. If you have a battery onboard and are running it on the cord at night while you sleep, if you lose power the battery will pick up fan speed so quickly it won't even wake you up. easy to transport for vacation and very low watt consumption, so much it'll offset the purchase price vs box fan after awhile.
