I can’t speak for the experiences of people of color, but as a woman, I personally feel that men speaking up when women face discrimination or threats of violence is valuable and important. I’ve seen many women on WitchTok defending Ruby, and think it would be meaningful to see more men speak on the harms of misogynistic language and threats as well. To me, it’s less about who was right or wrong and more about the fact that no one deserves that kind of language directed at them. That said, I do agree that the voices of women and people of color should carry particular weight in this conversation, and I appreciate that you’re approaching such a sensitive topic thoughtfully rather than adding more fuel to it. I also think people should only speak on it if called to, not because of external pressure. I’m not trying to argue at all. I respect you and really enjoy your content. I just wanted to share my perspective. 🫶

I feel like some people that are asking random practitioners’ opinions on this just want to know what side that person is on to justify either attacking them or praising them. And that’s not what this kind of “drama” should be about. There’s a lot of bold claims going around and it seems like people just wanna tear each other apart rather than looking at facts and making their own opinions. That’s just my two cents on it but idk.
