@hadi_skin: Obviously it is very sad, especially when a child gets cancer and the point of this post isn’t to be depressing but people online without medical degrees saying they know the “secret” to being healthy are lying. Please beware of the health and wellness grifters. #health #misinformation
My autoimmune disease was “activated” by an emotional trauma at age 26. It’s basically random so just live your life.

As someone has witnessed a lot of different scenarios like this. I always tell people we can do things to help us FEEL our best. We cannot control what is going to trigger disease. Sucks. But we do not have control.

We have so little control over our health. Hard fact for humans to swallow but very true.

My grandmother is 85, still works and is extremely active, literally eats bread and butter and bacon every single day her whole life 😭 I don’t think she eats anything else. She also just walks every single day. Sometimes it just be like that

I knew a triathlete who passed from brain cancer. I was having lunch with a family member today and she got a call that a friend had a stroke - that friend cooks from scratch and is very active even in her 70s. We can do our best to mitigate with lifestyle but if it’s going to come for us, it’s going to come for us.

I think we just need to sit back and be amazed when everything goes right. Health is based on time, trillions of decisions and interactions, and the deck of cards we were dealt with.

Exactly, very high cholesterol runs in my family. I can follow the best diet and exercise routine, participate in every clinical trial, and still have elevated cholesterol, no matter what I do.

It all goes back to the fact - that no one wants to say aloud - none of us are immortal. No one knows when or how we will go. & there is no guarantee time granted to anyone. You do the best you can but one day - we all go back to the universe from which we came.

Autoimmune diseases are usually genetic and triggered randomly. I started a new job and was diagnosed with celiac disease shortly after due to the stress of starting something new. Like I’m super healthy
