I worry about what comes after. This isn't for the sole reason that one simply fears the end of their life, but rather an extension of it. If there is nothing, and only that, then why do we live only to forget the memories and impact after the soul is stripped? This is also simultaneously, why the thought of an afterlife is so calming. Its the fear of being worthless, and everything fading, including you, that drives one to hope for something after passing
