Beautiful find….they have a higher sulfer content, salt blanching them helps reduce the sulfer content…and then soak in water, salt and vinegar to maintain the blue color during cooking…. after that clicking them in a dry pan helps alleviate more of the sulfur compound for those who may be sensitive to higher sulfer compounds <3

So M&Ms is trying to move to natural dyes... I wonder if this could be used... right now they have settling on an algae for their blue M&Ms. I have no idea how they would grow them in bulk though. I have no idea the indigo would stay. Just thinking aloud

My husband and I actually found one a couple years ago when we were hiking in Bernheim Forest. It was the first time we’ve ever seen one out in nature. It was so beautiful.
