'69 GenX here: my bday is close to the 4th & I've always secretly thought of the fireworks as a celebration of my bday 'cuz when I was a little girl no one ever remembered my bday but they always had fireworks for the 4th. ANYWAY, this year was the FIRST TIME EVER that I didn't celebrate my bday at all; my kid & I just treated the 4th like any other day. It's so sad that our country is being run by a narcissistic felon who truly believes he's invincible which he might be now but everything breathing must pass & he's going to answer for every single horrible, disgusting & disturbing thing he's done in this lifetime.
