As someone that use to live north of charlotte. They don’t mess with there fireworks. Like a real fireworks show literally in your neighbors front yard. I was like what in the world the first year I lived there.

My brother passed on July 1 (Canada Day) when I was nearly 5 due to anencephaly so everyone around me was crying, and I already didn't like loud noises, so I'm thinking that's maybe why for years they terrified me. Didn't make the connection for YEARS.

My dog would get his “crunchy peanut butter” sandwich. That worked better for us over cheese. Use to poke them in a hot dog. But he got wise to that.

I get the cheese fingers. You can rub your hands on stainless steel to get rid of it! They even make stainless steel “soap” bars.
