Yes, it is a blessing to have freedom of choice, either to have 9 or 2 or 0 kids, to be able to work and be financiraly independent or be SAHM, or to be able to have free speach or to co-live with all sort of people with different political stand, religion, race, sexual orientation,..It is nice to have freedom, like you said, we tend to take it for granted. What I like about freedom in my country is payed 27 days of vacation, payed sick leave, payed 1 year of maternity leave, and for now free speach .
