@theartcoach: Tap the link in my bio to start the drawing drills course. A lot of people think perspective is about finding the perfect vanishing points. I think it’s more about developing an intuition for them. In this exercise, the staircase starts with a few simple forms. As the drawing grows, each step naturally recedes into space by following the overall direction of the structure instead of measuring every single line. That’s the beauty of intuitive perspective. You’re training your eye to recognize what looks right. The more you practice constructing simple forms like this, the better your sense of depth becomes. Eventually, you stop worrying about perspective and start trusting it. That’s one of the biggest goals of the Drawing Drills. To help you build an instinct for form and perspective so you can spend less time calculating… and more time creating.
