ok for everyone in the comments who doesn't understand how to complement art. you don't have to be so enthusiastic like some of the people here say, but just saying "thanks" is a bit dismissive and doesn't acknowledge anything about the art at all. try pointing out something like "thank, I think the shading in this piece is great!" or "i can tell you put a lot of effort into this!" Instead of something dry and impersonal. people spend hours working on drawings and they just want their work to be acknowledged in some way!
