@optilacrity: We talked about NASA’s CHAPEA Mars simulation. NASA was looking for volunteers to spend about one year inside a 3D-printed Mars habitat at Johnson Space Center in Houston. The volunteers would not actually go to Mars, but they would live as if they were on a Mars mission. The simulation includes things like: * Limited resources * Delayed communication with Earth * Simulated spacewalks * Habitat maintenance * Growing food * Exercise and science tasks * Isolation with a small crew The point is to study how people handle the physical and mental challenges of a long Mars mission before NASA sends astronauts that far. #mars #simulation #nasa #volunteers #preparation
