Myrrh is so versatile! Beyond its ancient perfumery use, it's often dissolved in water for wound healing and infection prevention. Boiling it and inhaling the steam is also a traditional method for easing infections or inflammation.

pro tip: wait for the coal to build an ashy layer OR use a tiny piece of tin foil between the coal and whatever material you're burning. this prevents the material from burning too fast and enables it to diffuse in a lower temprature which gives a nicer non-burnt smell 👍🏼

I use Frankincense in my house, to prevent the burning smell, i use a glass microscope slide over the coal, then put it on top, that way the smell is more pure and it doesn’t get all smokey

If you soak myrrh in hot water & then cool it down you can use it as a spot treatment to dry out acne/pimples. In addition we also use it as a home remedy for really bad coughs. Love how versatile it is so cool!

a friend from Somalia gave me myrrh when my hands were dry and cracked. I soaked the resin in warm water and soaked my hands in the water. it was insane how fast it healed my hands and they were softer than before. its so much more than an aromatic

no perfume making material/ natural extracts can capture burning frankincense and myrrh smell, let it resinoid, essential oil, absolute, pyrogenated extracts of those
