Guys, we don’t wear cowboy boots, we wear gumboots. Imagine someone transforming a humble gumboots into a high fashion statement on the red carpet. That’s the kind of creativity I was hoping to see. After all, it was about our country’s equestrian culture not the American west.

@becomingnomali: I had to search what country allure means and it simply means what makes the country beautiful and captivating.So our South African influencers could have looked at the rich cultural diversity, the people of this country, creativity, landscapes and even the big 5 ( I know the list goes on) . I think they tried to match the event since its a horse racing event but in South Africa we don't have many horses. We not even known for horses.

Maybe I’m the one missing something, if Linda’s feathers and statement hat were inspired by the birds/chickens found in the countryside, isn’t that also a valid interpretation of the brief? The theme spoke about the South African countryside as well. That’s why I don’t understand why some people are saying she missed the theme.
