There is so much more I could say about this whole process and it’s hard to fit all of it into a short video. So if you have questions or want me to go deeper on any part of this, drop them in the comments and I’ll answer them there or turn it into its own video. There was a point in my life where I had tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt. And honestly it was a mix of poor decisions I made as well as things that were completely out of my control. Both were true at the same time. And for a long time I carried a lot of shame about it. The shift for me was realizing that shame wasn’t going to pay off my debt. The only thing that was going to move the needle was making a plan and actually following it. So that’s what I did. I had to get really intentional about what I was using my money towards. I went through every single expense and got real about what was actually necessary versus what could wait. And I got creative. Free events, cheaper alternatives, saying no to things I genuinely couldn’t afford. It wasn’t forever, it was just for that season. And that distinction made it feel doable. Building an emergency fund was a non-negotiable part of the plan from the start. Because every time something unexpected came up without that cushion, it set me back. That buffer was what finally stopped the cycle. And the sinking funds changed everything long term. Car registration, insurance, holidays, vacations, these things are not surprises. I just never planned for them beforehand. Once I started setting aside a little each month for those specific things, I stopped reaching for my card when they came up. If you’re in this right now, I just want you to know it’s not a reflection of who you are. It’s just where you are. And where you are can change. The free debt payoff calculator is linked in my bio. Go grab it and start mapping out your plan. #debtpayoff #creditcarddebt #debtfree #PersonalFinance #creatorsearchinsights
