This is very true! But personally I think it's deeper than Christians. God created Marriage probably the first marriage was between God's spirit and clay (flesh) to become Man. And the Genesis analog of the creation of Man on verse 26-27 shows that Man was plural "let them have dominion"... "male and female created he them". And this is sometimes interpreted as if Eve was inside Adam. Anyway my point is Christian or not this institute represents the miraculous union of God and Mankind. We are a marvel of spirit and flesh. how these 2 where made to combine is such a wonder! And the devil is not happy about it or any union that represents it. Whether you are Christian or not God is the first Witness of your marriage and not the delayed vows in our ceremonies - remember Malachi 2:14. Why the Devil hates: Marriage. If the Devil leaves non-christians to have good marriages and raise their children well in love, then they are the fertile soils that when they hear the good news they are easily converted! Not forgetting that Love itself represents God! The Devil is anti-marriage because he knows a good marriage is another one of God's successful projects and it leads back to God. So the Devil will stop at nothing to destroy marriage!
