Vidmahe: Prayers or meditate upon the divine being. Vedavathi: The pure, scriptural, divine incarnation (often associated with Sita or the embodiment of sacred knowledge). Vedavathi is spiritual precursor of Sita as per Uttara Kanda Ramayana. Vaahanaaya: The one who serves as the vehicle or carrier (Hanuman carries Sita/Rama in his heart and on his shoulders). According to the Ananda Ramayana, Mahiravana, who is the king of the Pathala Logam (Underworld) captured Lord Rama and Lord Lakshmana through his Mantriga Sakthy (Witchcraft). Lord Hanuman had to save them but Mahiravana's KulaDeivam(Family Deity) was Goddess Pratyangira herself. She stopped Hanuman from entering the Pathala logam. Hanuman worshipped Pratyangira Devi and sought her permission and blessings before entering and defeating Mahiravana. Pratyangira Devi granted Hanuman strength and removed Mahiravana's evil powers.
