It’s genuinely alarming to think this level of evangelicalism is in Australia. It’s so common to see it in the US but every time I hear your experience with it, it’s so jarring bc what the actual fuck, HOW did that level of it get here, and how the hell do we protect the future generations from it 😕

I have someone in my life right now telling me my spiritual practice is 'demonic', my tarot cards are 'demonic' and anything bad in my life is because of my spiritual beliefs bringing 'demons' around me. And this person is church of scotland - not even evangelical. Doesn't go to church. Doesn't read the bible. Religion means whatever they want it to mean because it's 'my personal relationship with God' but is so audacious as to proclaim MY beliefs demonic. Wellllll . . . what did I say? 'Dude . . . I'm not averse to working with 'demons' so buckle up 😂'
