And their are mountains and buildings that clouds covers the tips. So it's possible to think of building structure to heaven based on knowledge of heaven they have at that time.

The scriptural stories are sometimes allegorical, personified or symbolism. The characters and symbols often represent larger more complex events. The babel tower, abraham- angel last minute intervention to replace son with lamb, jesus and devil encounter for temptation after 40 days fasting, are some examples.

My brother, don't even waste your time explaining this story. This is a mythical tale. Most of the old Testament stories are classified as myth. The story is just the same as some African folk narratives such as 'Why monkeys love to live on tree branches, or why chickens scratch the ground. May be God wanted to package his word in myths. But I agree with you that the Tower of Babel story is scientifically unverifiable.

Now while I understand your frustration, there's more to it. And that's why I keep saying that "religion is a complex phenomenon". There are aspects of it that we can question and examine, but there are also aspects that remain beyond our full comprehension. A classic example is the pyramids of Egypt. Even today, there is still considerable debate about exactly how they were built with the technology available at the time. Yet those pyramids were constructed thousands of years ago. That alone reminds us that not everything from the ancient world is fully understood, even with all our modern knowledge.
