Called “ClairObscur,” the new campaign for Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Winter 2026 collection stars Anok Yai, Liu Wen and Dara Gueye, photographed by Robin Galiegue. Instead of a spectacular city backdrop, Balenciaga focuses entirely on light, shadow and silhouette. Figures almost disappear into darkness before certain fabrics, colours and details suddenly catch the light. 👀✨ That Renaissance-inspired chiaroscuro continues into the collection itself, with oversized coats, rounded shoulders and sculptural proportions creating almost architectural silhouettes. Leather, shearling, wool and sequin-embroidered silk add even more depth, while unexpected flashes of colour break through the darker palette. 🖤🌈 And the accessories are just as dramatic, from the new Hourglass Avenue Bag to the Le 7 Bowling Bag, Bloom Pump and Midnight City Mule. 👜👠 The result feels less like a traditional fashion campaign and more like a series of moving portraits from another era.
