I retired at 55 with a pension. I got a fun PT job working 16 hrs a week to stay busy. I found I make plenty of money to cover my bills. Healthcare is still covered by my employer which made it possible! Health insurance is the key!

I'm 49 and my retirement plan is to work until I die. Probably going to work half day on the day they bury me.

Oh thank god, I was worried my 50,000 dollar 401k was going to be a problem at 57. Glad I have nothing to worry about.

I’m 52 so I feel like you’re talking to me. I think about it every hour of the day. I’m lucky I think I have the financial box checked. My biggest fear is not knowing what to do with my time. I guess it’s a high class problem, but I really think it could be an issue. I have a great job, but it’s in Operations which is very stressful as you know.

This is spot on! I'm 50 years old and drawing 7% from my Deferred Sales Trust (From the sale of my business) and it's still growing.
This draw allows me to not work as much and only take the jobs that I want to take.

I am “partially “ retired. I tell people do not retire unless you are in the shape of your life!

At 58 I retired the first time from a job I had for 31 years. I found out all the money I had paid for extra life insurance for my wife and I was lost! I should have never spent a dime on the company life insurance!

Money is okay… two pensions and other investments… adjusting from a stressful work environment to what’s next is the issue…

Just a side note. It took about a year to lose the habit of waking up at 5:30. I have lost 20 pounds since I retired. And the only thing I can attribute it to is less stress and getting an extra hour of sleep every night.

The closer we get to retirement, the more focus we’ve put on our health. We had declined and knew that extensive travel would be too hard in that condition. In 9 months, we’ve lost a combined 110 pounds. Now for the joint replacement surgeries and we’ll be good to go ☺️
