I tried Pretty Litter for 30 days so you don't have to😬 For context, I'm not totally new to the brand. I tried Pretty Litter in 2020 as a way to monitor Cappy's tinkles. This was around the time my vet recommended ordering urinalysis test strips online. A test strip indicator was much easier for my interpretation & peace of mind so we stopped using Pretty Litter. I wasn't a fan of the subscription service, but now it's at Target so I picked up a bag for LeLe. Quick highlights from LeLe's 30 day experience: -the silica gels are like grains of rice and don't clump -the gels are hard to vacuum -the gels scratched my hard wood floors -the gels scratched LeLe's box 💡Key finding: use a rug or something to protect your floors. Frankly, a rug won't collect all the excess litter, so you'll have to clean regardless. I recommend sweeping, not vacuuming. Also try not to step on them- they don't feel great lol. -the litter looks aesthetic af at first -once Lele started using the litter, the litter turned pale yellow. -the litter is non clumping & indicates to mix the litter around until it's time for a 30 day refresh -that just weirded me out. It weirded Scott out too. I want to scoop the tinkles out not mix them in lol. -scratched all over LeLe's litter box. I should've used a liner so I am partly to blame. Candidly, LeLe's previous litter never had that issue when I didn't use a liner. Final thoughts: I think the science behind the product is interesting as a way to monitor your pet's wellness (aka blood and ph levels), but it doesn't compare to the individual test strips I use. For the price, convenience, clean up, experience, etc- I don't think it's worth it or that great of a product. ✨🥇I recommend Slide by armandhammercat over and over again #cats #prettylitter #litterbox #catlitter
