@billmckim: Last night was one of those moments that reminds you why experience matters. Canceling our July 4 New York City Fireworks trip was one of the hardest business decisions I’ve ever made. It meant a huge financial loss, disappointed customers, and a lot of refunds. Nobody wants to make that call. But as I sat at home watching the pouring rain, constant lightning, and powerful thunderstorms roll across New Jersey after another day of nearly 100 degree temperatures, I felt something I hadn’t expected… relief. Relief that we trusted the forecast. Relief that we didn’t have more than 100 passengers almost two hours from home on the water. Relief that everyone was safe. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you never take. Thank you to everyone who understood our decision. We hated canceling, but after seeing what Mother Nature had in store, I know we made the right call. #jerseygirl
