I’m sorry but how can timekeeper understand shadow milk yes she guards all time but that doesn’t mean that she understands him and also shadow milk longs for companionship not just needs longs for it when pv turned into tr you could tell that smc was visibly happier even his minions noticed that when pv was tr smc felt like he had a partner like he wasn’t alone pure vanilla doesn’t think he needs companionship he KNOWS that he needs it and smc tries being friends with the beasts but they don’t in ep15 he says “my friends are gone “or something along those lines but have you ever seen the beasts say that about him or about each other at all pure vanilla is not ignorant he’s literally the opposite he tries his best to understand and in ep14 he got an even better look into his past seeing what he’d been through even if it was brief their his awakened form was supposed to be understander but the translation team sucks anyways pure vanilla cookie is not ignorant he just tries his best to understand shadow plus you can’t just pick his interaction with shadow alone then say that’s how he interacts with everyone that literally makes no sense again pure is not ignorant he just tries his best to understand and help

this is so true. i love takes like this. we need to be able to express negative/not-so-positive views on characters without it being seen as hate, because, correct me if i’m wrong but: this doesn’t seem like hate to me, nor does it seem like anything nearing hate. i love to see these takes on pure vanilla because it highlights how saviour complexes aren’t all black and white, and that they often lead the character *with* said saviour complex to subconsciously place themselves above others when it comes to being able to understand the nuances of others in need. no he isn’t lol he was only ignorant towards the question regarding their creation which was something he had to get over in the spire. he became truthless recluse after realizing truth wasn’t absolute therefore having his worldview shattered and the meaning of his actions & life taken away the same way shadow milk’s meaning was once he realized his work as the fount of knowledge meant nothing in the grand scheme of things. He awakened after accepting truth isn’t absolute and doubt is a necessary step in acquiring knowledge. that ignorance however was mostly directed toward shadow milk, as shadow milk represented a part of himself he had to cast aside. Saying the fact pv and shadow milk know one another for days at most annuls any possibility of understanding between them is ignoring a fundamental part of their relationship that is the fact they share a soul. It foils pv and white lily’s relationship in the way that their connection despite brief was instant. No he does not “ignore other people’s” pasts nor does he jump to conclusions matter of fact he does the opposite he AVOIDS jumping into conclusions. I understand where you’re coming from but pure vanilla cookie has had five years of character development and it’s not to be pushed aside by shadow milk. pure vanilla isn’t simply ignorant because of shadow milk. I feel as though you pay more attention to shadow milk, then pure vanilla‘s character and the story that came before beast yeast, though I respect your opinion. And I do understand that the dark enchantress came before the new episodes and how pure vanilla did not see her in depth then but I also think that two characters do not define the compassion he has and don’t put aside that he actually is a very well written character, unlike how shadow milks potential was wasted the minute new players came to the game and devsis realized he was a cash grab.

Why is everyone here focusing on small details and taking them into the worst interpretation possible??? This isn't even a critique of the writing but Pure vanilla himself and how he is compassionate towards others through his own lens. Pure vanilla has an obvious saviour complex placing himself as the one that is the only one that could and has to save the ones that are evil. That's why his compassion is mostly reserved for villains and why he can't understand. He only cares about being their saviour not really them as people.
