We go to Nova Church in Halifax and they have awesome programs for babies and toddlers. The kids get to play, or just cuddle with the nursery volunteers. They meet your babe where they’re at. Our son is BUSY and doesn’t sit still but that’s totally ok. We always say when they’re making noise they’re praying lol.

i honestly think the church would ignite if i walked in on my own LOL . i think my son would have sat but it wouldn’t have been for long , it’s boring for myself let alone for a child 🤣 i would never ahaha

it's ok for children to make noise in church. there are churches that provide programs for children as well.

Our church has "Sunday school" for kids of all ages starting with nursery age. They are definitely not expecting to sit still - they are playing and singing kids songs etc

as a mom of a VERY feral 2 year old and an ECE, i truly think bringing children to somewhere that they are semi-expected to wait, sit, and play quietly is a GOOD thing. find a family friendly church that has music they can clap to, and a nursery/toddler room that you can go to when it gets too much. we bring lots of snacks, books, magnet tiles, and other small toys and usually make it about 45 minutes before we go out to the nursery. I find when we go to church regularly he is easier to get to sit and wait in restaurants, waiting rooms, etc.

Mine will sit for a little while, but then he gets a little bored and we walk around the lobby with him. He doesn’t like the kids class cuz he’s a stage 5 clinger so I have to be in his view at all times. But for me, since having the new baby a couple months ago, my church live streams it so we watch it at home so he’s at least subliminally watching it and that’s good enough for me

No kids but I went to church as toddler and also was a volunteer in the nursery. I would say it is a very personal decision and do what is best for you and your family. Also probably go to a church with a Nursery or or that has a Mother's room so that you have those options if needed

My son loves church!! It took some time for him to understand that it was a quiet time and listening time. Also Sunday school is rarely on Sundays now adays. Kids will learn you just have to have the patience

Kids generally will love worship time because of the music and singing! Then, if they head off to nursery to play during the sermon, again, it’s play time. I’ve spent a lot of years volunteering in nursery and Sunday school at church 🥰

Pretty much any church (bigger ones at least) you go to will have a nursery & kids program :)

My baby has been going to the nursery at my church since he could sit up on his own, 6 months I think, the kids volunteers at my church are amazing and play with him the whole time!

I take my twin 2.5 yr old boys to church and they are extremely loud and obnoxious but always behave well in church. I bring small toys and water coloring books to entertain them, and snacks - but when we first started going I would “shhh” them, and the usher came to me and said to let them be free as the pastor likes having children in attendance and to let them be kids!

a lot of churches have nursery/Sunday school where kids sing, play, and if they are old enough they listen to a short Bible story with a craft or activity of some sort and have a snack. The lessons are often from a "curriculum" package the church purchases so they are age appropriate in length and content vs a child sitting through an adult sermon
