I left 9 years ago. If anyone is reading this afraid to leave, I promise you can do it. It is scary, it is hard. But, the peace, the calm, and the weight lifted is absolutely unbeatable. Our babies deserve to see what actual, healthy, love is. What peace is. Whether it’s as a single parent, or, with a healthy partner. Make the plan, make the decision, and never ever look back. Do it for your babies. 🫶🏼 I promise, you can do it. I did.

i left a week ago and my kids say they miss him, but their laughter all day and their ability to actually relax and be themselves tell me that they dont actually miss him, they just wish they had a better dad

I loved him so fucking much but he didn’t love me.. it got so bad. I packed everything into the car and left when I didn’t want to, I had to. Our daughter didn’t need to watch their dad hit their mom.. I want more for her. He’s a good dad but not good to me. :(
