Dua (supplication) is a direct, personal conversation with Allah and an essential act of worship mentioned throughout the Quran (Quran 2:186). The Quran preserves the exact words and stories of the prophets when they called upon Allah in times of need, hope, or distress. For Worldly and Hereafter Good (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:201):Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." For Protection from Misguidance (Surah Ali 'Imran 3:8):Rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hab lana min ladunka rahmah "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy." For Patience and Steadfastness (Surah Al-A'raf 7:126):Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa tawaffana muslimin "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You]." For Family and Righteousness (Surah Al-Furqan 25:74):Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyatina qurrata a'yunin waj'alna lil-muttaqina imama "Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous." Core Principles of Dua from the Quran • Sincerity (Ikhlas): Direct your call exclusively to Allah without intermediaries or partners (Quran 40:60). • Humility and Inwardness: Call upon Him with humility and in a low voice, avoiding arrogance or loud, forced speech (Quran 7:55). • Call by His Beautiful Names: Use Allah's divine attributes that match what you are asking for, as instructed in Surah Al-A'raf 7:180 ("And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them"). Detailed Supplication (Munajat): Like Prophet Nuh in Surah Nuh (Surah 71), you can pour out the details of your struggles, sincere reflections, and personal needs directly to Him. Patience and Trust (Tawakkul): Trust that Allah hears you—He will either grant your request directly, ward off an equivalent harm, or save the reward for the Day of Judgment. #ALLAH #muhammadsaw #dua #blessings #fyp
