The creator, George Boldt, was my grandfather's uncle! I have some of his handwritten letters, original photos you can't find online, his gold plated lighter (which still works btw), and some other artifacts. He put my great grandfather through military school. The Boldts are my cousins. This place is very special to me

I grew up going there every summer as a child and still go when I can now. I was blown away by how amazing the transformation has been. I clearly remember walking up staircases that were crumbling and areas that had caution tape all around and now to see what one of my favorite locations in the world has become I am in awe.
