Graham’s number is an extremely large finite integer, first defined by mathematician Ronald Graham in connection with a problem in combinatorial geometry. It served as an upper bound for the smallest number of dimensions required to ensure a certain property holds in a hypercube graph. It is far too big to write using standard notation, exponents, or even huge towers of exponents—instead, it is built using Knuth’s up-arrow notation, in a recursive structure with 64 layers of increasing size.
