One of my clients’ posts reached almost 200,000 views in less than 24 hours, generated 843 new followers, and the numbers are still growing. Watching that happen is exciting, but it also reminds me of something. Most people know me for my resume writing business. What many don’t know is that I also work as a digital marketing strategist, helping brands with content strategy, social media management, content creation, and digital growth. The funny thing is… I didn’t go to school for marketing. My professional background is actually in operations. Marketing found me. It wasn’t always like this. There was a time when I was doing everything I knew how to do for clients and still wasn’t getting the results I wanted. I remember questioning myself, going back to the drawing board, investing in additional training, studying successful campaigns, refining my strategy, and learning over and over again. I’ve always believed that learning should never stop. Every setback became another opportunity to improve. Today, I have the privilege of working with multiple brands across different countries, helping them grow their online presence. That’s something I never imagined when I first started. People often say, “You work from home. That must be nice.” It is. But what people don’t always see are the late nights, the weekends spent working instead of relaxing, the content deadlines, the strategy sessions, and the laptop that’s with me almost everywhere I go. If I’m traveling, the work doesn’t stop. You’ll usually find me in an airport, on a plane, or in a hotel lobby with my laptop open because my clients are trusting me with businesses they’ve spent years building. That’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly. This season has also required sacrifice. I’ve had to say no to a lot of people, opportunities, and distractions so I could finally say yes to myself, my goals, and the life I’m building. Looking back, that has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m incredibly grateful for every client who trusts me, for my family, and for my three-and-a-half friends who continue to cheer me on through every season. If you’re showing up every day, working hard, learning, improving, and wondering if your breakthrough will ever come, don’t stop. The results may not come when you expect them, but every lesson, every failure, every late night, and every sacrifice is preparing you for opportunities you can’t see yet. Keep going. Your consistency is building a future that today’s effort can’t fully reveal.
