although i agree with your point, the quality of Lululemon is actually good asf. likes yes its $200 for a pair of leggings, but they’re going to last for years looking brand new in my experience. anybody saying its comparable to cheaper brands is straight lying.

It's not a hot take and you phrased it perfectly. You're not hating lol. There are some ppl who genuinely like the quality of certain brands but there are also a lot of ppl who purchase based on status signaling. Functional and symbolic value aren't mutually exclusive. Companies spend millions on logos and branding for a reason.

If your body doesn’t require as much support or smoothing you may not notice a significant difference between a $20 pair of leggings and a $100 pair. But for those of us who like our clothing to provide structure and support the quality is absolutely worth it. Athleta is equally as good but just as expensive.

I think some people just have vices. Like for me, it’s hair. I have and will spend upwards to $800 on hair and some people gasp at that. To me it’s worth it for the continued usage I think it’s the same for people who like lulu. I will say, I bought a set before I found out about the nurse discount, but even with the discount on the table I haven’t bought anything else. That pink set is tempting tho.

I have forever 21 gym leggings that have outlast my lulu lemon leggings😭 I stopped liking them once I became an adult bc buying $200 for one set for the gym is really ridiculous

The only stuff I own from them is the stuff I bought with the Amex credit. And I go on their website and sort the price lowest to highest to find something I don’t have to pay out of pocket for 😂😂 got me some shirts and socks!

mmm i would say this for alo. alo is fully just a status symbol and 100% not the quality. lulu is actually great quality and you can even take old lulu to the store and they will replace it for you.
