This was definitely something I needed to hear today. It's been two years of celibacy, four years of being single, and two years since I was baptized. I gave up drinking, chose healing, and committed to breaking generational cycles for my son. Sometimes my family doesn't understand the changes I've made, and I know they may think I believe I'm better than them. The truth is, I don't. I just want different. I want better. And if I want better for my son, I have to be willing to do better. I've learned that loving people sometimes means loving them from a distance, and that's okay. Not everyone will understand your growth, but don't let that stop you from becoming who God is calling you to be. ❤️I love what God has done in my life.

I had to cut ties because I was the one being influenced and degraded by family members. I am content with my decision because family should be amongst those who should work the hardest to do the best for each other, not the ones creating negativity and obstruction. I gave them more le-way than anyone should ever get, because they were family. Now I am at the most peace I have ever been and able to show everyone who I am and treat the world with gratitude and respect. Something that was being masked with their attitudes and anger for too many years. Well said sir 👍
