it's odd to call it arabian nights, the arabs who wrote it didnt, nor did the persians and indians they copied it from lol still, def one of the greatest pieces of literature by far, except I hate hate hate the annoying barber so so much 😅

He gets tickled... the cute guy in the underground tickled him, so it's kinda his fault too. I love how it's narrated, like they're so much in love, and then the heart ache when fate comes to separate them.

the motto in every myth or tale : ignore rule you hear and ignore the common sense because you got the special plot armor and to make the tale more interesting .. don't worry about getting consequences because they're optional and up to the narrator

I kind of got a different message when i was a child reading this i thought jeez just listen ffs. And now hearing it again I think that it is trying to teach that you should not push your luck. He survived, he took down the mountain, he even escaped the mountain. But everytime he was warned about risks he still tried to seak the reward and hurt others and himself. Even the reason he was in the first boat was because he couldn’t just accept his lot in life. He had to go hunting for bigger and better things.
