Paul ⛪️🙏❤️ Venice, Italy 🇮🇹 The Church of San Polo, founded in the 9th century, unlike many other Venetian churches has never been completely rebuilt, in fact it retains the original three-nave plan typical of venetian-byzantine architecture. Over the centuries, however, it has undergone two important interventions that modified its original style: the first, in the 15th century, with the transformation based on late gothic styles, and the second, in 1804, by Davide Rossi who transformed the Church in neoclassical style. A glance inside the Church is represented by a “Ultima Cena” by Tintoretto, accompanied by other works by Jacopo Palma il Giovane, Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo and Paolo Veronese.
