@anttsinc: #anttsinc North Dallas Real Estate is correcting it is not crashing many and those markets are now realizing they’re not gonna be able to sell many who bought in the last three years are upside down and oh more than the homes are worth the cell season is over and those with houses on the market may have to continue reducing prices to find a buyer
the spice smells. it sticks to and gets into the drywall. You have to tear out and redo the drywall to get rid of the smell.

Go in with your eyes open. Potentially replacing carpets/flooring, drywall, insulation, and don’t overlook the fact that strong odor penetrates wood! Floorboards, framing, ceiling structure, kitchen cabinetry. Just saying that wood, with its natural ability to absorb potent odor, does just that. (similar to wood in a house fire… not burned but penetrated with smoke.) Not every situation will be like this, but it’s helpful to be aware.

Curry is oil based. It took me 10 hours and a paint scraper to clean the cabinets in the kitchen. One area I couldn't reach I sprinkled cinnamon. (Behind a lazy Susan) The cabinet smelled like cinnamon after that but better than curry.

The spices get into the walls, cabinets, floors - it’s a $50,000 cost to remodel

They don’t use AC therefore mold will be the main issue. In apartments after they move out, the management company hires “odor removal” companies.

Back in the 90s we looked at a very nice house to buy. But it was wallpapered in every room ( not totally unusual in the 90s) and the spice smell. We knew we would have to repaint every inch and replace carpet, as well as vent clean. Not worth it.

Because they bought high and need to sell high- not worth it.

Lack of maintenance and upkeep; landscaping that has died and not been kept up; yards that are weed-infested and dry; repairs done with sub-par materials (cheap); lack of watering leading to foundation problems

It's because they do cheap. Repairs, i've seen it, and then you have to redo it...

I totally doubt that it’s about “who is” trying to sell the house, but because “that” property is overpriced
