The Universe is God. God is the Universe. Is a star exploding something “bad”? Is the appearance of sentient life “good”? There is no intrinsic good or evil. There just is. That doesn’t mean we don’t suffer. We still do. But the universe/God is indifferent to it.

I think the pain comes from needing to know. Needing something or someone to blame, even. The truth is that we don't, and can't know. And no one or thing owes us an explanation. We exist, that's someone's fault, shouldn't they explain? Nope. We make no rules. No one needs to listen to our inquiries. I think peace comes from accepting what we know, and what we can't, and just being grateful to experience life anyway. I find the word belief a bit cumbersome, because it seems that most people use "believe" when they mean "hope". We can't know if there is a god, but to hope with all your heart, there's nothing wrong with that. All the best.

I think before we come here we do not focus on what happens specifically but on what it is we want to learn. So a soul might choose a really, really hard incarnation because it wants to learn how to become wise enough and how to learn to love enough to overcome those circumstances. They might choose it because they want to learn more quickly instead of one by one. Lessons like forgiveness, worth, and ultimately that nothing in the 3D world can touch what you are as a light. Getting faster to the fun parts. I also think it is like a dream. When you dream it seems so real, and when you wake up to what is more real you do not take the dream personally. In a dream we experience ourselves by dividing our consciousness into the dreamer and the dream. When you wake up you notice everything in the dream was actually one thing. You. In the same way, the universe divides its awareness into different perspectives, that is us, to experience itself.

I like this theory and I used to think this but I think it just allows us to justify in our minds when people do evil things as we think it’s got a purpose. I don’t think spirit likes the evil in this world and tries to change it but there’s only so much they can do

Thanks for the good video. I think the argument in favor of God, that happiness is contingent on the existence of suffering, is flawed, when religions are all about promising exactly that — heaven in Christianity is free of suffering, Nirvana in Buddhism is free of suffering and the ultimate bliss, and moksha in Hinduism too is pure bliss.
