Dare I admit that this time last year I already had some fall decor up in our house? And now that the 4th is over, I’m struggling so hard to resist the urge to pull out all my fall decor. I thought Roger would want to wait, but he actually suggested it yesterday. So my current game plan is to clean up the summer decor in our home and on our porches this week while doing an overall decluttering throughout our home, and then next week start decorating for fall. Just a little at a time. But before you get upset thinking I’m not enjoying summer, we will still be doing all the normal summer activities, as we won’t have fall weather and colors until the end of October or early November. We live in the south, so while we decorate for the holidays early compared to some people's standards, for our family it’s how we survive the worst of the summer heat. It doesn’t help that we had a heat advisory last week, even though it was still June and we still have at least 3 more months of summer heat and humidity coming our way. And since our son already wants to pull out the Christmas decor, I figured I should probably start on the fall decor so we can enjoy it a little bit before we switch to Christmas. But don’t worry, I won’t be sharing fall content for ~3 more weeks! When do you start decorating for fall?
