We celebrate Halloween but no scary costumes or scary decorations! I think I’m going to teach them that Halloween is just for fun dress up. If that makes sense

We do “Harvest Parties” instead of “Halloween”. We decorate the house in fall decor in September and then we let our girls dress up as something fun on the actual holiday and we do trick or treating. We do not acknowledge anything spooky or scary and we treat it like a big Fall Party!

with your beliefs, which is totally understandable. I was curious how like your in-laws feel with that if they have the same beliefs or if they’re against what you feel cause I know sometimes in-laws can not understand how we want to raise our kids.

Halloween is such a hard holiday with being a Christian. We only decorate for Fall and do not put Halloween decorations up. We do still trick or treat but make it a fun family day. The kids are allowed to dress up but in nothing scary, witches, or vampires. My whole family goes together to trick or treat then we come back and eat pizza and candy all together!
