Both of our rescue dogs carry pieces of their past with them, and it's our responsibility to help them live the best lives possible while respecting the challenges they still have. I do want to point out that we would normally introduce Smuckers to new dogs on a walk. My mom's dogs are a little unique because they're lake dogs that free roam the property, so the intro looked very different than what we’d normally do.
