As a retired LA prosecutor I routinely encountered lying cops. And i come from a law enforcement family. I got along with most cops extremely well but the lying was part of the culture. But as prosecutors we were helpless to do anything. Our supervisors told us it wasn’t our job to deal w lying cops!
