I’m actually thinking of forwarding my palladium card next year. Yes the mortgage points are nice but I feel like the point game is dying. Reward redemptions aren’t it anymore. May need to look into cash back cards

I had Bilt for years before they switched the points earning. The new cards are only worth it if you have a mortgage equal to or less than your usual monthly spend. Not good for anyone with a mortgage that high

My mortgage is $6,000 a month so I have to spend $1,400 EXTRA to earn 0.5X points. Not sure if it’s worth it if you have a higher mortgage. I could route that $1,400 on another card with higher rewards.

From what I understand in order to get those points, you have to spend that amount each month on other things so if you have a large mortgage and you’re looking to take advantage of these points, you have to charge that amount that your mortgage is in order to get the points where the original card was not that way. This does not sound all that great there are cards with way better incentives, and this would force you to use this as your primary card.

What I dislike about Bilt 2.0 is that they no longer offer the option to pay your rent or mortgage in the same month. The moment you pay your mortgage with your Bilt card, they automatically pull the funds from your bank.
