We have a lot of volunteer fire departments in our area. They can use donations for water and food for the firefighters. You can drop them off at Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department.

I live here and the Parkersburg Mayor hasn’t even made a statement. However Vienna’s Mayor has and is doing a lot to help residents.

In the early 2000s, Parkersburg, West Virginia became nationally known because of DuPont’s release of the chemical PFOA (C8) from its Washington Works plant. While it wasn’t considered to have the worst overall air pollution in the U.S., it was at the center of one of the country’s largest industrial contamination cases, affecting the air, drinking water, and nearby communities. The resulting lawsuits and scientific studies linked PFOA exposure to several serious health conditions and inspired the film Dark Waters.
