It's 2026 and we only have 126 gb of storage. They're purposely keeping our storage small for years now. phones should have at least 1tb by now and computers should have 8tb, but it hasn't changed in like 10 years.

it will inevitably keep taking up more space as you keep the same phone. i have an android, but my system also takes up like 32gb at this point because i've had it for so long. it just comes from every system update you have. your phone doesn't delete the data from older updates, so it just keeps compounding.

What system data is is pretty much just like a bunch of temporary stuff like a bunch of old messages some tabs that are still open and temporary files if you wanna limit stuff like this, then go to your messages settings and then make it so it doesn’t keep the messages for as long I have mine personally set to one week so that it only keeps my messages for a week and then delete them, but yeah.

my system also take 18 gb. bu ti also have 500gb so more than you a recommendation from saving your space. get an SD card for your photos. only keep the first like 100 and put the rest on the SD card.

Yeah, I’m sorry you probably have 25 billion pictures in that phone. I don’t know what you’ll be taking pictures of but I do know pictures is taken up about 72% of your phone storage. Just keep that in mind.
