Vantage Point Inc. is a small nonprofit based in Carlsbad, California. We help adults with disabilities find good-paying, competitive employment and right now, we are supporting over 500 Californians who are ready to work. For a long time, we were doing it on fumes. We applied for loans. We were declined. We applied again. Declined again. It is a story too many mission-driven small nonprofits know by heart. But these two organizations saw our mission, believed in our impact, and gave us a chance. That loan allowed us to hire, organize, breathe, and grow into new territories across California. And the work we are doing? It is breaking barriers that have existed for far too long. We recently placed a nurse practitioner with a disability into a role paying $204,000/year. We placed a deaf/hard-of-hearing professional with a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and MBA into a role paying $250,000/year — plus bonus potential. There is a quiet assumption in this country that people with disabilities can only do certain jobs. That their ceiling is lower. We are here to shatter that assumption every single day. Competitive.
