“This is all it took?” Represents the failure of hero society. When villains are no longer misguided people. Just an obstacle to stop. That’s why Shigaraki, Dabi, Toga, Twice, everyone came to be a villain. It isn’t because it was some inevitable fate that couldn’t be avoided. It’s the opposite. It was so avoidable that it shocked the people affected by the ignorance that destroyed their future. Shigaraki could have been a hero, or at the very least live a normal life. If someone had just reached out to him to show that they matter. Dabi could have lived his dream of being like his dad if Endeavor had been more cautious about what his son might do. Toga could’ve lived a normal life if people tried to understand rather than shun her for a compulsive behavior that she couldn’t control. It was all avoidable. But even as the problem became so big that the world was in danger. There were a select few people who were ready to be true heroes. Who understand what it truly means. Class 1-A knows as a whole. But those with a great internal struggle will understand more. They have a much greater perspective. Using that, they grit their teeth and push forward and go beyond for the sake of others.
