Great work!!! No criticism, just curious - what is the reason behind the middle stud being 3/16" taller than the rest? To set the rest of the studs nice and easy? Or is that to counteract the load that will be transferred from up top? Great content!!

Hitting the top plate levels it, if you hit the nails you are breaking the glue on the nail coating loosen it for later movement

I build the barring wall with the studs a bit long and snap a line and cut them in place.. find the process a lot faster and results better and if your concerned about sag you just mark the shorter span plate to plate drop it 3" and then snap the line
