I think you’re a very kind person! I also think the two guys, assuming they’re adults, should absolutely pay you back. It was their responsibility to make sure they had their tickets transferred before arriving, or whatever the issue was. Even with a language barrier, there are plenty of tools they could have used, like Google Translate, which can automatically translate webpages. The bus driver likely doesn’t handle ticket issues or customer service. He’s just there to do his job, and rules are rules. Sometimes buses stop at places with ATMs, so they could withdraw cash and pay you back. If they have PayPal or another money transfer app, that could make sending money between currencies even easier. At the end of the day, I think it’s up to the two adults without tickets to figure out how to reimburse you for your kindness.

Have you ever heard of wise? That’s an app where you connect your own bank account anywhere in the world. You can even create a payment link. I live in Spain and use it to transfer between my US and Spanish bank accounts

If you would have found your IBAN number, they could have transferred you the money FYI. But as the comments say, Revolut is super common and not a scam. No one outside the US uses Venmo

the Spanish guys can bank transfer you, it requires you do to some digging into finding your SWIFT/IBAN number but it is possible, takes a few days and you might get less than $120 due to transaction fees

Good you got the money back, sounds like the driver was trying to con them out of more money. If it was genuine then he would have directed them to the correct site to purchase the correct ticket
