Griffith is a perfect representation of Kierkegaard’s "teleological suspension of the ethical" because he steps completely outside human morality for a higher cosmic destiny. Falconia is literally William Blake’s 3rd and 4th visions brought to life. For the citizens, Falconia is "Soft Beulah’s Night," which is a beautiful, safe dream world keeping them asleep. For Griffith, it’s Eden, the ultimate realization of his own imagination. He is basically Fichte’s "Absolute Ego," meaning a being of pure will who literally forced reality to bend to his own mind. I think he is like a much younger version of Giant Sun Immortal Venerable or Lawrence Valcua in terms of his determination.
