Look for a “cord raceway”. They’re nearly flat and can hide in the corner. You can find them in white so they blend in.

I think it needs a hook to hang from and a hook on the ceiling to drape it over by the wall and it can just hang down from there. I don’t think the tape or cord covers are necessary

You need 2 hooks. First hook is on ceiling 1 inch away from the wall and straight up from where it’s plugged into the wall. Second hook is in ceiling above where you want the light to hang. So wire goes straight up wall to first hook then it hangs in a shallow arc (draped) to second hook, then down to light. No need for tape.
