I used to believe this, but I don’t think it’s as black and white as that anymore. I do however, think that whatever you see in someone else, there has to be some level of it in yourself for you to be able to see it. Like maybe something you’ve already healed in yourself that you can now point out for or in others. I also think it’s important to distinguish between judgements, and speaking truths/calling out collective energetic distortions.

Being judgmental means you have values. If those values are rooted in tolerance and freedom then you will only judge people who are intolerant or oppressive😙 In all other cases, yes, judgment is projecting your values where they don't belong

It’s a useful lens for self-reflection, but it’s important not to mistake it for a universal truth. Sometimes our judgments do reveal unresolved shame. Other times they reflect reasoned moral convictions, healthy boundaries, or legitimate concerns. The danger is assuming every judgment is evidence of shame, because that can invalidate critical thinking and make the theory impossible to challenge.

Sometimes people confuse my pattern recognition and pointing out such patterns as being judgmental when really and truly I don’t think there’s a wrong way to do life. Everyone has the freedom and right to choose their adventure in this life. I just notice what people tend to do over time. I also fully understand a person can choose to change their behavior and in those cases I do notice and note the new patterns as well.
