@elly.psychologist: If you're in an emotionally abusive relationship and every single conversation somehow ends with it being your fault, there's a specific pattern at play, and it's worth knowing the name for it. It's called DARVO, deny, attack, reverse victim and offender, and it shows up constantly in an emotionally abusive relationship. First they deny what happened or how it was said. Then the attack starts, suddenly you're too sensitive, you're overreacting, here we go again, and the conversation flips onto you. Then comes the part that's genuinely hard to spot, they position themselves as the victim, reminding you how much they do for you or how hard things have been for them, until somehow you're the one apologising for bringing something up in the first place. This is a well documented pattern in an emotionally abusive relationship, and once you can name it, it gets harder to fall for it. If you notice it happening, try refocusing the conversation calmly, or step away if it's clearly not going anywhere. But if this keeps repeating, that tells you something important, you're dealing with someone who struggles to take real accountability. In that case, save your honest feelings for people who can actually hold them, not the person creating the pattern in the first place Official accounts and resources: www.ellyanastasiades.com #emotionallyabusiverelationship #emotionalabuse #relationshipabuse #relationshiptips #relationshiptok

Love this! Once you name the pattern, you stop wondering if you had a problem and start seeing the strategy for what it is. That shift alone can change everything
